just looking for some input. i kinda want to get a better graphics card. i have a nvidia quaddro fx 540, which is just an entry level 3d card. i have 2 gigs of RAM.

this weekend i bought another gig of RAM, but i'm thinking i should buy another. and i'm thinking about getting a much bigger graphics card, maybe like the quaddro 1400 or 3450.

do these sound they would be a great upgrade? i'm worried that i'm gonna spend all this money on a graphics card and not be able to see much of a difference.

any input or advice would be great!

i'm now i pretty much hate you. i'm running some crappy ati all-in-wonder with 512 ram. ps: i dont think u need 4 gigs of ram =P

hahaha... i know, its a luxury i'm thankful for every day!

but, if it makes you feel any better, i worked for years on a dell laptop with only 512megs of RAM. i even did some 3d for the last Austin Powers on that thing!

the moral of the story being...

it's not the hardware, its the.... hmmm.... patience to wait for renders?
