went and saw this yesterday, didn't think very much of the plot. but when the explosions and car crashes came, it was really a blur between what was reality and what was cg. the effects were fantastic, and this being said after viewing the wireframes of all the scenes online and such. if you have some extra time, the movie's not bad, and the effects are great. sorry i don't have much more to comment on this one.

I thought the movie was FREAKING amazing. Totally slam-bang effects and a pretty cool story (ok ok....a bit cliche/predictable or whatever....but it wasn't bad enough to ruin the whole experience).
I've definitely been recommending this one.

I saw it today, it's been a long time since I went to the movie theater.
You know me, I'm a fan of futurist city, building, technology.
First, I have to say this movie was really entertaining, freaking real made (hard to see what is real and what is 3d, for buildings, etc.)
If you know Michael Bay a little, you know this means Actions, actions, and camera moving fast. Some cliche, true, one "impossible" scene, maybe they could cut 10min or action and the movie would be still fine.
Some cool reflection about cloning, againts or not, freedom, community, etc.
You must see it.

I forgot, ridestowe: you remember where you saw the wireframes?
I wanted to find interview and articles about the movie, but I didn't find any.

Just saw it as well. Thought it was pretty fantastic, and the visual effects were amazing. I loved the designs of all those futuristic buildings, and they were pulled off really realisticly.
Great movie IMO

weider i think the news article was on cgchannel.com a while back, not sure though.
ps: one thing i didnt like in the movie was the constant adverts. msn, xbox, mack trucks, ford, etc
edit: i think in the article it said they used aura or something for the fire.

john, i actually noticed one time when they were on the building logo where the glass on the building was way too reflective and clearly cg, other than that yeah it can easily be mistaken for real.
