Just got back from the opening of Pixar's Cars. Thought it was really great! Just don't know how they do it. I know I'd be quite scared if I was told to try to show emotion and convey believability in a... CAR. They pulled it off real real well.
Perhaps even better was the animated short shown before the film "One Man Band" Had me cracking up.
The theatrical trailer for pixar's next movie, Ratatouille, was also shown. I'm already excited for that. Looks spectacular.
Well its late, real real late, so thats all I'll say for now. Just wanted to make a spot here for people to discuss the movie. Go see!
(Stick around after the credits, like always)

Wow, I thought this was a couple of months away yet...

Looking forward to it.
Just come back from Over the Hedge, which was awesome! (I think Dreamworks have made some real progress after a couple of mediocre films... OTH was slightly overdone in places, but overall a great flick)

I believe it coming out on the 19th of June. Wait... the 19th isn't on a friday. I guess it could also be the 9th which is today which is a friday. Which means I think it comes out today woot!
Now all I have to do is convince my friends to go, I couldn't get them to see over the hedge so I will just have to really try.

I took the kids to see it.
Not Pixars best work. Don't get me wrong, the animation, and the 3D were both oustanding, but I didn't really like the movie.
Speaking of art in the movie, the environments are fantastic!
Monster, INC, and both Toy Story movies are much better. Cars LOOKS better than Toy Story, but TS is the better of the two.
Go see it, and judge for yourself. We all have different taste.

I agree with Peter, It had a heaps good look to it, but it was lacking in emotion and story as far as i'm concerned.
It's probably good that I don't have any kids... a family trip to the movies would involve me grabbing a few drinks and taking them round to my mate phil's place and sitting them in front of the computer and forcing them to watch salad fingers, or spoilsbury toastboy... or, ooh, or the milkman. All good, better stories imo.

I went to see the film yesterday, and i personaly thought it was awsome. I think it had a good story line, and the visuals was just awsome. I think Pixar has raised the bar once again in animation. The environment was just spot on, really awsome.
One man Band was also hillarious, excellent short, one of my fave i think.
Good times!
