Dual Monitor Setup

14 Dec 2005A recent addition to the workplace has been an extra monitor for the animators in the company.
One small problem we have is that right-clicking a Maya UI on the second monitor (say the HyperGraph or Graph editor) doesn't seem to work... No popup menu at all. Drag the window in to the main monitor and all is well - but that's a bit counter productive!
Any thoughts?
Currently using an nVidia 6800 Ultra -

17 Dec 2005Thanks ant, though I now have the problem sorted.
Basically it didn't like the way I originally had my display settings. At first I had my monitor 2 displayed to the left of monitor 1 (Monitor 1 being the main 22" CRT - and Monitor 2 was a 17" TFT sat to the left displaying my Graph Editor etc) To solve it I switched the display back to (1 2) not (2 1) but using nVidias options I set my main display to monitor 2 (ie 'Windows' is displayed on the right hand monitor - the big CRT)
Hope that makes sense...
btw One of the guys at work really liked the 17" TFT and asked if I wanted to swap - so now I have 2 huge 22" beasts on my desk! I think he's mad as I deffinately got the better bargain!

14 Apr 2006Hey Zugz... Yeah it has been a while, but no probs. I did explain above how I got round it - but obviously not too clearly! hehe (Yeah I re read it and was confused myself!)
Now I'm not sure if this is graphic card dependent (I'm using an nVidia) but the answer I found was to have the Operating system (Windows XP in my case) displayed on my 2nd monitor. For some reason this allows right clicking on both monitors - not just the primary monitor. And as far as I remember, that was the only thing I needed to do. Hope that helps
