Set Driven Keys: Make edit to

09 Feb 2006Hmm, I'm sure there are many ways to do it but I prefer using the graph editor.
Select the knukle you want to adjust and open up the editor... now as it has a set driven key you will see the attributes 'driven' value on one axis but instead of having the time on the other axis you have the 'driver' attribute.
I think there are ways of doing it through the same menu you get at creation... but I prefer to see what's going on in the GE
And as far as I know you haven't missed anything obvious... well, unless I missed it too! hehe -

I had gone in there, but I didn't zoom out. ( insert any bonehead reference of your choice here )
I tweeked the graph to obtain what I needed, but I couldn't figure out how to add a key frame.
For now I have what I need to get the job done. I'll continue to investigate this issue as I'll need to know how to change, alter, tweek, animations.

09 Feb 2006Top left-hand corner of the GE should be 4 key icons - the second and 3rd ones in will be helpful
Good luck with that.
I'm using 7 at the mo - a recent upgrade from 6.5 though I'm pretty sure these icons particular functions in the GE have been around for some time.
(As a quick sidenote... I really don't know what is new since v5 as I'm pretty new to Maya) -
09 Feb 20066.5 to 7 was a huge upgrade. So many new features.
