yeah man, go for it. I think Avid makes great edit software. I even kind of like it better than FCP, but don't tell anyone I said that...

the only drawback I could possibly imagine is if you use the Adobe Dynamic Link capabilities alot, because, obviously, you won't have that anymore. But if you're not using it, you won't miss it!

no I don't have it (dynamic link that is).. as this package I got is just programs themselves... a nice remain when my office switched to Mac.. so no production studio..

I'm familiar with PP, but I know that almost all PC based companies use Avid... hence I asked..

guess it's not that hard to learn.. it is a cutting program after all..

I was mostly concerned with it's intergration with AE... but as I saw here and in Rebel Cafe, most of final work is done in AE..

still waiting for that book tho.. ah that lazy amazon.
