Wonder what's new -
28 Mar 2007apparently most of the new tools make it more like Apple's motion. A ton of animation presets, more stuff to work with sound I guess, and the big one, is export of vanishing point data from photoshop into AE for 3d comps. So this one is huge for photomapping.

28 Mar 2007yeah, all of the new tools are motion graphics stuff. wheres roto-tracking? wheres the slightly editable flowchart view Stu is always ranting about? price is the same as its always been, right? maybe i'll just wait to upgrade the production bundle as a whole.
i hope theres a tiny bit more for vfx artists in there. oh well, even if there isn't, its still my fav. thanks for the link zach! -
28 Mar 2007some interesting points for people like myself who dig the whole productions bundle...
Audition is no longer included. Its replaced with Soundbooth, which is a perfectly capable and easy to use program, but not NEARLY as robust and professional as Audition.
Looks like Flash has been added. Interesting. I thought they put enough Flash-ish features into AE that this may seem redundant, no?
Looks like Photoshop is split into 2 different editions now. Strange. Wonder if they'll still keep PS Elements going, too.
I saw a leaked price page, and it claims the price of the production bundle will be $1199, which is about $500 cheaper than it used to be! I sure hope that's right! I wonder how they'll do upgrades - will they ship upgrades to all the existing stuff, and then ship a full copy of Soundbooth? -
28 Mar 2007Its funny how its called 'photo'shop, and now they have made a new program solely for photos, because Apple has their photo editing proggy.
Why is it only for vista? XP isn't that old, and why would I want to upgrade to vista anytime soon
