mahmoudnahmad 1,159 posts12 Aug 2006hi all i hope you like this model i just finished please feel free to comment i hope every one throughs loads of crits to help me progress more and i am thinking about animating him if some one volenteers to rig him for me!!
I CALLED HIM LEGGY stupid name care to give me a name to name him i like him without hands -
12 Aug 2006looks great! of course, it's really simple, but we all made simple models in the beginning.
some of us (ME!!) still do!
the only way i can imagine this guy getting around is hopping.
And you should just dive into rigging him! i know it seems too complex and all that, but you've made a nice, simple character, and that's perfect for getting started with rigging! you don't have arms to worry about, fingers, toes, all that crap. all you need, basically, are some legs.
making the bones and placing them will be easy, but "skinning" them will be hard, especially depending on how you made you model. you may even have to start over re-rigging him a few times. don't worry about it though! that's how you learn!
i think you can do it if you give it a try! -
mahmoudnahmad 1,159 posts12 Aug 2006thanks hype will get into it as soon as posible but i am worring about somthing the hair how will it be animated while hes hopping cause i dont know how to do that if you can help or any one can that would be ausom hair seems to diffeclt to work with (I AM A BAD SPELLER ) lol

oh lord, someone's looking to me for inspiration!
i have stuff posted around here you can look at, but i don't have a "real" online porfolio. i haven't done much entirely computer animated scenes or shorts. you would be MUCH better off looking to Tyson, Cameron, Iest_Rob, Richard, Jacques (jakiloblanco), Ar Lutik, Goul, or the 400 other folks who come here! Tyson, especially, not to toot his own horn for him (actually, i think Cam's tooting T's horn!). Tyson seems to have sacrificed something of great value to the Max gods, thus making him capable of leaping tall renders in a single bound, faster than a wireframe preview, more powerful than a Boxx Apexx...
i'm babbling now. sorry! thanks for flattering me, though. my stuff is around here, if you look. i don't think there's anything particularly inspiring of mine, though. -

13 Aug 2006 yeah, but i don't animate! i composite.
compositing, i have moments i'm extremely proud of and i think might be inspirational to other wanna-be compositors. "Meet the Fockers", i did somewhere around 20+ greenscreens, and i think it's impossible to tell where they are in the movie. no one seems to think there were any effects on that movie. "Sin City" i'm proud of, cuz that movie kicks ass, and i SO didn't think it would while we were working on it! There's some 3D stuff of mine in "the Benchwarmers" that I'm proud of, but i don't really think its inspirational (the mailbox head is all 3d, a model i built in about a half an hour, and when the dog gets run over with the lawnmower, that's some GI lit, transparent fur particles that go flying...)
so there ya go. inspiration.
for other fine works of inspiration by me, see "Soul Plane" and "Trancers 6". they are CRAP!!!
I'm even IN Trancers 6! These fine projects will inspire you throw yourself from a jagged cliff.
