14 Oct 2006Working on a custom mecha design that im hoping to rig and animate in the near future.
still needs a head and hands. The wings and guns are incomplete still also, but it's slowly getting there :S.
Im also modeling this in Maya 7 -

Nice one Darkside - great detail on the gun and wings. Feet could do with some more attention too though. -

Yea I agree that some areas look rather plain, im going to work on putting in more detail on those wide open areas with nothing on them, like the back of the legs, feet, and the upper are on the guns. Since it is my own design, I need to make up all the details so it takes a bit for me to come up with stuff to put on the mecha hehe. But I will definately sex it up with nice details for sure. Im hoping to have the wings and the rear part of the guns done by tomorrow, so check for updates

A closeup of the guns combined together. I also finished adding the details on them until I go adding bumpmaps and textures.
And seperate.

16 Oct 2006Changed the wings. Going to add small details on the outer part of the wings like panel lines and vents tomorrow, then I can get ready for the head and then finally the hands
I also think i've decided on a silver and black color scheme, with either blue, yellow, or green lights. -

Wings are now attached to the main body by metal connector things. Have the basic shape of the hand going also, hoping to be done with it tonight -
