17 Oct 2006This is for a little project I'm doing for our percussion ensemble. The idea was based off . The goal of the project is to play the piece live, together with the video.
I have until december to finish the vibraphone animation, then we'll see if I have to do other instruments too. >_>
I still have to sort some texturing stuff out (you can see one white pole e.g. on the renders >_>) The sticks are placeholders

Only one thing comes to mind that I would change. The floor is very busy and takes away from the actual main piece. My eye is focussed on the floor not the instrument. Maybe something a little less detailed on the floor? -

18 Oct 2006After reading what Hype said, and why he doesnt think the floor distracts him in the first, is because the lines are jagged, not as AA'd. Maybe you can dirty the floor up, not reduce quality, but to just add a bit of dust and dirt. You might also just increase the diffuse so it absorbs more like instead of bouncing it and making it so bright.
