Ive gone back to the basics, and started to learn a bit about weight etc. Ive decided to create a simple man pushing box anim, so i can get to grips with weights, archs of the back, and some FK/IK switching that was taboo to me before. This is my 1st pass;
After ive got the basics down, i might include a joke in there towards the end, but any pointers you guys can throw at me at this stage would be awsome.

Really nice so far iest!!
Here's my main comment:
-right now he pushes the box before he really puts his back into it...and then as he starts pushing, that's when he puts the force of his body into it
-what you're probably going to want to do...is have him puuuuussssh it as hard as he can (put his whole body into it)...and then have the box move forward (ie...a chain reaction of force: friction of feet--->legs pushing torso--->arms pushing box--->box moving)----(right now it seems like: arms pushing box--->box moving--->friction of feet--->legs pushing torso)
Keep it up! This has great potential

Another thing that could bring it further, is that everything is happening at the same pace. All of the actions and movmements are at the same speed. Try having some contrast in it, the variation can make the animation more fun to watch.

This is a second pass, I've added some of the points Tyson mentioned into the first push;
Is it possible for you to explain a little bit what you mean variation and how i could implement them into the animation Aaron? Thanks

Hey man, thanks! Yeah i havent worked on the feet as yet, still trying to get the upper body to behave as it should. Ill be posting another udate tonght. Yeah i highly recommend you guys go back to the basis, I was talking to Shawn Kelly, and he taught me a great deal about it, so that's why I've gone back and done it.

Hello - back to work on this now, this is the latest;
Ive fixed the issues with the last push looking like the box had gone lighter, now hopefully it makes better sense.

Not sure if you plan on doing more with his face but right now there isn't much emotion going on. When I have to exert x amount of effort to push a heavy box I am either pissed or I get all into it so I can brag about how strong I am. I raise my head triumphantly and shout "DID YOU ALL SEE THAT?????? HUH????" Then realize no girls are watching and go back to muttering about having to do stuff I'm not paid to do.
So either some "damn this is the heaviest thing ever" or some "watch me! I'm awesome" would add a lot to it I bet.
