The Realsoft 3d quarterly Contest at "" started and the topic is "Law Enforcement".
I decided to create a robot. Here is my first WIP:

24 Apr 2007one thing i noticed is that the back wheel where it meets the tread, shouldnt the treads be caught along the wheel treads rather than in the middle? assuming this thing was previously moving.

bzudo 151 posts24 Apr 2007i agree, the treads should sag in the middle or at least have less tension. could start on the design, i think the materials need a little work. just my 2 cents. -

27 Apr 2007real solid man...I love the headlights construction on the front...when looking back at your old version it definatly added alot.

27 Apr 2007it looks pretty cool so far, but I do have a slight problem with it. What bothers me is maybe just the camera angle, but there seems like there is way too much tank tread in the image. I think if you built up the top part under the canon, and added some detail to the turret, and the front skirt of the tank, it would just make it a bit more interesting. Plus I think it would just make it look a bit more complete. Only my 2 cents.
Off to a good start though, do you have any concepts you are looking at for the environment?

I might expect the ends of the guns to be a little dirty, from smoke and all from the bullets.
