25 Jun 2007hey guys here is an update on this project here i have not forgot it!
Im just about done with the character im building for it.
there are gonna be two people interacting
luke skywalker and obi-wan
and the first shot show a bit of the flexibility or the rig (i am no rigger)

25 Jun 2007thanks guys the guys is about 99% done and don't worry i wont forget those eyebrows they are part of the mesh so i didn't worry about the texture change for that fast render.
im also going to be working with some cloth modifier as well for some jedi robes! that should be interesting.

for this particular animation he wont need to move like as much as he does in this test but its good to know he can.

second shot is more how it will be see in the animation
I will need some help with the engine "Fire" tho so hopefully hype or someone could tell me the best way to go about it cause i do want it to look very nice!!!

02 Jul 2007Hey, this is looking cool! Just one observation - the shadows on the final image with the two suns looks like they're being cast by a point light or spot - a sun would cast pretty much parallel shadows because it's so far away. If you substitute the shadow casting light for a directional light, this should fix that issue.
You may want to use two shadow casting lights, one for each sun, but the redder sun could be less powerful. That might end up looking a bit muddled though. Worth experimenting with.

03 Jul 2007hey whaabamb, these are looking good! i agree with christian about the lighting, but its nothing a directional light and some quicky Light Tracer wouldn't fix.
Also, on your Tatooine shot, that transparent atmosphere should be glowing blue, don't you think?

This whole thing seems to be kinda having a cartoony type feel, which is really cool! your blockade runner kinda looks "plumpy", if that makes sense. Looks great!
and fire coming out the back? maybe some glowing blue gas fire looking stuff, of maybe just a blueish white glow... I don't know how accurate you want to make it. -
