07 Feb 2008started work on it last night i'm gonna make it completely in nurbs because i need to practice my nurbs a bit. i wish there were some isometric pictures of these phones around, but all i can find are these 3/4 shots that dont do me any good as far as modeling goes.

im not convinced about the brushed metal though :S -
07 Feb 2008the brushed metal actually looks pretty good. maybe give it a more 'brushed' feeling. right now it looks kinda speckled.
oh, and thanks you so much for those links, i've been tearing my hair out trying to see what the shape of the talking piece was like, and now i know! unfortunately I dont have time to work on it today but tomorrow i have a couple hours between lab and lecture so i'll be sure to work on it then -
08 Feb 2008modeled in zbrush exported to max in REAL poligons about 2mil
and the reason is because i diddnt check the uv map before i importet it to zbrush after i finished and tried to export i had a crap of texture soooo :S
i dunno how to revers this i tried to make new cylindrical mapping inside zbrush but that hat some serios errors too

10 Feb 2008ive redone it because of the mapping problems i had before so here are some material tests the color and the feeling isnt so bad its just too shiny
so ride you gonna show us something -
10 Feb 2008i'll upload it when i'm good and ready haha, i've been busy with my rigging class and such, i have it modeled i just need to set aside a little bit of time for the texturing and rendering bits.

edit: i'm gonna be re-rendering this with a new lighting setup when i get home. i need to practice better understanding of studio lighting setups
