very ruff new reel

30 Apr 2008hey you all, as i am looking for a job, i need to renew a few things of mine, as you probably saw, i am currently working on my website.
i am also making my new demo reel,
here is a draft, feel free to crit, if you think i should add stuff in there, take some out or rearange things around, let me know! i would apreciate to hear what you guys think on it, so that i can take care of it before it is too late... (nevermind, the arm anim at the end... it's currently rendering so it will be corrected next time i post)

Pierre 61 posts30 Apr 2008Nice draft reel. I would avoid the voice lyrics mixt up with the voice of the characters near the end: that's never a good mixture.
If I may say Richard, the music is too well known and distracts from the 3D items you want to show. Just some thoughts. -
01 May 2008Lookin' good, Richard! I'd say you could cut it down a bit...maybe leave out some of those ball animations/simple animations that you have in the beginning... you can show that on your website, but it makes your reel a little lengthy. Or if you don't want to cut them out, I would put them more towards the end. Also if you have more clips from the first animation you showed, I would put more of those in because that was a cool piece.

nico 16 posts01 May 2008nice reel Rich ! i like the music, but i think like Pierre about the mixt of the lyrics and the voices of the characters at the end.
And in my view, i prefer your last demo reel (the school one), which was more rhythmic. -
