RonaiSanzer 23 posts03 Jul 2008It's 4 a.m. and my sleep meds are barely working, se excuse me if somethinf is out of place.
The box bot is a quick try at a metal box that hops a couple times and shows a secret sliding door with a camera eye that looks around, the i tried to add the chopper blades but forgot to really animated the blades...I wanted to do a robo ball but ill wait till im more alert and all here.
also how do i set up a swinging hinge(only reason i did a sliding door.
ps. thanks for the inspiritaion to even start trying this.

You and me are in the same boat
. I am trying to do robot ball tutorial too. If you want to do swinging door then you have to move the pivot point to the top of the geometry. (by default it is in center)
Also you could try to make object move quicker. That way you give him attitude/personality

04 Jul 2008I think the thing that's going to help you the most is that you could do that entire animation in probably 1/4 of the time. Speed up everything, get the blade spinning fast so it looks like it actually lifts him. Try to adjust your spacing so you're not getting such linear motion throughout. Break it up a bit. =) GL!

mahmoudnahmad 1,159 posts09 Jul 2008put some hold keys, otherwise as shown the eye door is moving and keeps moving non stop in liner motion adding hold keys, and as jayg said speed up a lot -

Sorry I havent posted a newer one, been busy and I will be moving to WV in october.
Thank you for the advice also, I hope I don't sound like a smart mouth or nothin.
