Ok I took some advice and did the tutorials in Max...wow what a difference. I learned quite a bit. Here is my latest bouncing ball. Please let me know what you think.

Getting better! This one is very floaty at times. It comes into the scene very fast like it's a golfball or baseball, but when it bounces all of the sudden it floats like a balloon. Try to keep the weight of the ball consistent so that it seems real. If you go outside and toss any type of ball around you'll notice right away that they really don't bounce very many times. A very light ball with high elasticity (like a rubber super ball) will bounce very high the first couple times but then slow down considerably after the 4/5 bounce. Any ball with a substantial mass such as a basketball, soccerball, baseball, even a tennis ball, will usually only bounce a few times before starting to come to a stop.
You're getting the hang of it, but I really recommend going outside with a ball and watching how it feels.
