Hi everyone.... heres a walk cycle ive done... ive done quite a few but they are still....rubbish..... any tips for improvement... sorry there are only two steps I didnt have time to finish it

NOTE: I havent even touched the curve editor.... is there anything that I should do inside it?walk test 11.mov

advice that never fails, get a webcam phonecam any cam cam you walk take that into max, apply that movie on a plane and place character in front of it, this way you learn how we humans walk then you can give it kinda of exaggeration, all great animators use this even after they get soo good this never fails to teach you a thing or two you need.

Yep video reference is a must for even the simplest animation.

I'd do some more studying on your basic walk cycle infoz such as basic timing and cycle poses. Contact, Passing, Etc. The Animator's Survival Kit has good info for learning basic walks and there are screenshots and guides all over the net with it's info.

Also if you can find a way to do it, forget about the upper body for now and just work on the hips and legs.
