This is what I do, and its the best suggestion I can give you, keep the objects as seperated as they are in real life, the panels on the car, the interior panels and all are all seperated, this is the absolute best way if you're going to be animating it, so you can have all the right pieces moving properly. If you can build the objects, than thats all you need to do, look at whats needed and what will be visible, and go from there.

Thanks Cameron

Right, what's your opinion on my last pack. [ one on the way!

Well its getting there. The material really doesn't do it justice and needs a fair amount of work. Some areas seem a bit smoothed over, like the seams and such, and I think its just the material but I get a whole sense of wrong scale and lack of detail.
On a side note again, packing your wips into a zip file isn't the best method of displaying them on a forum. People want to be able to have a quick look, in the thread they're viewing as they make a comment, instead of having to download them, extract them, look at them, and then go back to the forum to comment. It's a: too much effort, and b: untrustworthy, for all they know there could be a virus in your zip file. Using the same method of uploading when posting your message, just add images instead of the zip file. Much more efficient. Also, when posting a wip thread, it's best to keep all the updates inside that one thread instead of posting a new one every time you have updates. This way people can keep track of your wip properly, you wont look like you have hardly any comments on each section, and you can provide almost a visual tutorial on the way you progress from start to finish on your projects.

Yes Cameron.
Ok. All right... After hard working on the model, I found out that is not time to go to interior.
So, I will focus on body to get a good result. I will start over on my last save before applying any material.
...and think I must be more patient.

It needs more time to get a good result.

Yep modelding needs improvements but it's a good start
Have a look to the Richard's one (
http://www.simplycg.net/viewtopic.php?t=861 ) , it's the same model nearly finished and there some clean wireframe that should help you for modeling

I came back again. Have just completed the exterior body. It's almost what I wanted to be.

But I would work on it some more. Then I will go to interior.
Jake; I read your tutorial. I knew a method like that before, but I had forgotten it. Thanks mate.
Waiting for your feedbacks.

Looks pretty good Ali. THe material and enviroment needs work.
What rendering engine are you using? Also I may suggest having softer shadows in the images because right now they are really harsh.

I used mentalray and standard materials. yes, you right. material needs improvement. Also I think that the direction and intensity of lights is impacting the shadows, too. So it's not bothering me so much, although I will work on it. Thanks for pointing out George.

Ok well if you are using mentalray, use a mentalray area spot light. Then go to area light parameters and change the size of the area light to suit the scene. This will produce softer shadows. Also you may need to up the samples too.

Don't pay attention to last message. It's a long way to final. LOL
I changed my renderer to Vray and redo materials. Some bad points in last update fixed. then made a very simple interior that still needs much work. here is the update. any c&c are welcomed, needed and would be useful.
