here is what i am currentlt working on... it'll be a minute or 2 long animation. i have createt the asteroid and i am working on sfx for the moment. an test animation for the atmosphere entery will be posted tonight
i am not telling you too much about the anim, it'll be a surprise

here is the test anim for the atmosphere entry... no smoke yet because it is gonna be when it goes through the edge of the atmosphere.. the smoke will come later on. -

g3org3 355 posts10 Jun 2006The glow around the earth looks to blue. Its hard to explain. Well maybe its more of the wrong colour and it seems really dense aswell.
I like the asteroid. Did you just use Push and pull paintbrush to make it, or how did you make it, seems interesting. -

13 Jun 2006Yeah, this Earth looks tops!
Not too sure about the choice of shot for the animation though... I don't think that the rotation works too well (add the stars etc and it'll be quite a dizzy ride.) I do like the moon flyby though, But I'd suggest having it gradually increase speed and have the moon whip by very quickly.
Just my 2 satang.
Btw, nice moon shot Tyson. But whwre are the stars?!

13 Jun 2006you cannot see them because of the brightness of the planets, it masks them. around plannets you never see stars at all
