Ok since most of you won't finish this part of the challenge in time.
Personaly I think you guys should of tried to do something smaller, this is the best deadline exersise you could get.

for me a short time extension would be great because i could only start the animation on friday so my animation is rushed and still unfinished.

I gotta say I prefer showing your final entry at the end of each challenge.
The problem with not doing that is people will get caught up in past callenges (and finishing them) and will end up getting far behind.
Ie, challenge 2 starts but some people still need to "finish" up their entry for challenge 1...by the end of challenge 2, people finished their challenge 1 entry and are about half way done their challenge 2 entry. By the end of challenge 3, people just finished their challenge 2 entry and are starting their challenge 3 entry etc etc etc........
Not a good idea imo

ye, true. I think people just need a couple of days to get em finished up, personally didnt really know my limits, so i now know to work faster. Ill also have more time now.

Well I never said an extension would be a bad thing....I was just saying that allowing the challenges to overlap would be a bad thing

Ok its probably a good idea if we extend it.
I'm not gonna go a whole week, just a few extra days, but as a bonus, those who have finished should get started on their next one now to get more time in.

I know what you mean tyson with overlapping, but if we would handle it this way persons could focus on something. I for myself know exactly i will not enter any of the folliowing challenges becuase i simply do not have the time to compete in them. If we would set it this way you can be sure a lot of people would focus on one or two elements, and that will lead definetly to one important point: Better produced quality. And I hope, we are talking about quality
I dont would say its unfair because the time extended, because i could blame each pupil, student or jobless guy he has to much time
In my case and I suppose there are some others also (including cam and yourself) should be busy like hell at normal work. I have got a normal 70-80 hours week here and its really hard to get ANYTHIG good done in the rest amount of time.
I suppose I have to travel back in time

Well the way I see it, is most of you guys went with something to big and ran out of the time, I know T and I kept it simple for the simple fact that we knew 10 days was not much, T started like yesterday I think, but for that I'm gonna ask fo a urine sample I'm sure is Testosterone count is to high.
I think if people try to keep it more simple for the next challenge they can come up with very nice stuff in not much time, it's all a question of planning, see it this way if this was a contract you would have no choice to plan well.

I dont think mine was too big, its something that I could create in a day, but to render would take a week. Then I have to fit that around all the work I have to do here, so most of it is working in secret, alt tabbing whenever someone walks in. But I should have taken that into account indeed.
Anyhow, its been extended a few days. New dates are in main challenge thread.

sweet! i hope i can get something better in then! i agree, no overlapping. this kind of thing is good training for working with a deadline, unfortunately, the deadlines in real life seem to be getting in the way of learning about deadlines here!
essentially, deadlines suck, but you gotta have em.
