ok dude, you should have him crying in the rain, and then it pulls back out, and he's sitting on a bench on the knee of another lowman, and he's crying too, and that's what the rain is. And then you'll have the whole men in black II locker scene thing going on, except without the locker and the aliens.

Men in black two was out before the year 1000?
Wow, those romans sure knew how to party!

yeah, they could be crying over the intergalactic kegger alien gangbang seen below. She's all like, "can you hear me now?"

crap an A, that looks sweet.
do you render your DOF in the default 12 passes? once you put a raytraced clear shader on your water, isn't that gonna take about a year to render?
i'm thinking about render a z-depth pass and doing some DOF that way, simply for speeds sake.
awesome work, T. i like zach's idea, the pullingout, puling out, etc...
-
ivanisavich 4,196 posts
Hey hype....I ALWAYS do my DOF in post

We use the frischluft plugin here at work, and when I render my passes I save them as .rpf's, so that I automatically have both the Z and velocity channels saved with the file
-
hype 2,964 posts
really? so you don't render motion blur either, then?
is this tricky to set up? i wouldn't mind starting to use that kind of embedded stuff (i do everyday at work, but never at home). i would guess searching RPF in the help files or tutorials would bring up enough info?

I've recently come across a sweet ass plug-in for Photoshop by Richard Rosenman called DOFPro - and I think it's totally awsome, im gonna get it within the week i imagine;
Just thought id let you know hype.

thats really cool, iestyn! doesn't look like it works with AE yet, though.
i'm probably just gonna render a z-depth and use box blur.
if you get that, post some pics of it in action! their gallery looks really cool!

Nah man I haven't yet. Might give it a shot, but I'm not a fan of the whole watermark thing.....
