That's getting better......would be nice to see this guy really muster himself up for the jump though. Right now he hops around and makes very small bounces before his final HUGE jump. Would be nice to see him back up and make a running jump for it.....maybe doing 3 mini jumps before the big one to build up his momentum. As each buildup jump gets higher and faster, he gets more and more ready for the big leap (despite that long description though, the whole run-and-jump would probably only need about 30 frames).
Keep truckin!

ok i'll try that out and post somthing tomorow, one thing before i do it, do you mean he should move back and then start running like somone who does a long jump in the olimpics? only one problem... it has to be 150 frames only (you obviously know that tyson ). I'll try to make that fit in...
by the way thx for this challenge... its just what i needed... now someone told me to do somthing and i have to do it... perfect... anyway, enought of me now.. let's get back to work... c u guys tomorow
P.S : any help or crits on the render and the environment? (what cou i add in there?)

Yes, but like I said......the run-and-jump would need to happen really quickly to keep up the momentum and "hightened-suspence" per se, so it would probably fit in a time period as short as 30 frames just fine. That gives you 120 frames for everything else

Hey!
I think it's comming along
One thing I think could sell the idea of supprise more, is if the ball has time to "think" in the air before the stop sign pops up, so by having him kinda hit the apex of the arc - slow him down for about 8 r 10 frames at the top, more or less suspended in mid air but still following the arc, then wham! stop sign pops in, totally suprises him

Hey, watched your clip. It's good, but seems to me like it's more focussed on the sign animation then the ball. For me I get drawn away from the ball to the sign, plus the ball suddenly jumps from a slow bounce to fast leap without any real build up. But thats just my 2 cents. Coming along nicely though.

i agree with the above, you havent really addressed the point of the exercise - you need to empahsize the anticipation more

thx for the comments guys... yesterday i tried doing what tyson told me... i spend 2 hours working with the curve editor, (first time i ever did) i realized how usfull it can be... i never acctualy used it befor. never the less, i have the week end comming up, i'll make shure i'll do some work on it... i did make somthing yesterday buy i doesn't look good, as i said, i was just figguring out how the curve thingymy works...
insted of having the ball bouncing off the sign, i'll make it crash in the stop sign. it will make a dent on it, after a bit of time, the ball will slowly fall back on the floor. i'll also make the ball jump slower as jakiloblanco said...
i'll probably remove the hammer time panels to focus more on the rest... and once the competition is over, i'll put it back and make the anim last longer...
thx for the comments anyway. i really like to get feedback like that. I'll try to do my best to make you guys (and myself) happy.
i wish i could see all the other enterys, but i don't have quicktime on these pcs (i'm in the computer room of my school) and i can't even install it
