FX Challenge: TWISTER VOTING CLOSED

Time to vote for your favourite twister/tornado animation. Pretty simple voting system again, just put down your top 3 in order of preference.

1. Mariah Carey ( I just loved the way she sang with that microphone )
2. Barney the Purple Thing ( Anything purple gets second place in my books )
3. Tyson ( Smells like turnips, offered to ransom my family and marry my daughter )

Pretty simple really. You dont need a reason like I had above, but I definately do encourage it.

Wow this contest went freakin ACE!!!! So many awesome entries!

Don't have my vote yet since I haven't checked them all out yet....but just thought I'd say that the number of great looking entries was amazing! Definitely a reason to keep these minichallenges up and running

Hey - yeah this was an awsome challenge - just really gutted it got the best of me - im seriously thinking of finishing it in a few weeks - thanks troubadour!

1. Cam - awsome stuff man! Really liked it - where's the chickens??!! Nice camera shake too - the twister looked real.
2. Hype - really liked the way the tornado picked up the briks and fence, and the finishing brick was awsome!
3. Franklyn - really nice - looked pretty real - i wish you could have made it a tad bit longer.

Well done everyone! Looking forward to the next challenge! Keep 'em coming guys!

1. Jaardbarks (I think is almost perfect, also the sound, but in the end the sound the crash of house comes a little after)
2. Cameron ( I like so much the camera shake, it make the work so real!)

As has already been mentioned multiple times. The entries this time were fantastic. Congrats to all who played with this. I hope you had as much fun as I did.

1. JaardbarkS ( Great work mate, a nice style to it too. Well done. )
2. Hype ( Very nice particle/scene interaction.)
3. Iest ( Nice idea. It tripped me out. The composition and such like where the house slides into view were a bit off, but otherwise I liked it a lot. )

1-Cameron-I love this look man, thick thick clouds.. nifty stuff!
2-Hype-So violent! So cool!
3-Franklyn-A little too fast for me, but still a strong peice
4-Mariah Carey-I just saw her house in an email from a friend... holy crap

guys, i know it's too late to post a new entery, but i though i might as well keep you up to date with mine... if you want, you can check it out on my twister topic...

1. Jaardbarks (i love that anim. the only thing i don't like that much is the way the house falls at the end...)
2. Cameron (i vote because you have a teapot in your scene)
3. Hype (because you putted lots of efort in that anim.)

1Cameron (the ending blew me away. What a great simultation. I also like that the world was cartoony but the tornado was realistic. You mixed these two things perfectly)

2 Hype (Great animation. Especially the flying brick in the end )

3 Jaardbarks (What a great and original idea. All the objects were like stage props. Great work. Every thing was nicely animated)

1 - Cam. (my favorite, probably cuz the funnel itself looks the most real)

2 - Jaardbarks. (so friggin' original)

3 - Kilroy. (i like the wide, epic view)

hard to choose, so many good things about all of them! iest_rob especially had a really original idea, too!

i wish we didn't have to vote! but, i guess thats the whole point...

1. JaardbarkS: I put this on 1 because I thought it was the best animation overall, maybe not the most realistic, but I just likd it the most.
2. Cameron: Good movement of the tornado, and realistic too.

1. Cameron.......love your work. nice flow to the pflow. Its what I was looking for. Nice work.
2.Hype. great on the the use of the fence and the end.I had this one for #1 but.........oh well. Ilike the Cam a bit Better.
3. Franklyn..........all around good animation

1. JaardbarkS ---- Love the style of animation.it's cartoony.but perfectly done.

2.cameron --- only his tornado looks real.though if he had done with real footage.it will be first in my voting list.

3.franklyn--- looks pretty real.
