Well, slowly adding a tiny bit each day in my spare time. Still got more detail to add, be done hopefully tomorrow with all the modeling as im free. Gotta work on the texturing and lighting more adding some bump mapping to the model. Gonna work on Vraying the metal. Yeah cheers Iest, alot of people were saying it was looking "tinish" but still WIP and havent worked much on that area yet. Though i'll keep cracking away at it ^_^

The model is total cool, but the renderings has to be improved in some ways, it doesnt seem to have a real chrome look.

And .. it's another little update. I still need to and refection ect to the black metal materials and play with lights more. But the model itself is almost done besides where the Date does on the face. Hope you like it so far.

By macroscopic, I meant an environment (like a tabletop or black sweep) where the camera is very close to your watch, and the DOF is very shallow.
Something like this:
....just to give it that final, added touch

Btw.....I'd also say bump up the contrast of your environment map (your reflection environment) A LOT......right now the whites and blacks are a tad muted.

Woohoo!!! Now I know what macroscopic Environments are. Tweaked abit, and date added. But I'll still play around with the face colours, they seem abit too bright.

Well thought id post a new test render. I think my Vray skills are slowly coming along abit better now. But I still have 3 days left to keep playing with it. Plus the top watch looks to straight and un-natural, so i'll repose that. BUT Woohoo for Vray

Looking awsome Quinn, the environment definatly helps it out a lot.
Just a quick question, is the watch ontop of a cloth? If so, it's not ment to be shiny?
Good work man!

Come on, dont be so lame! You have NEVER seen reflectic cloth? Where are you living? In the 21th Century or what?
-
quinn paynter 356 posts
Well I was going to go with cloth but I went agianst it. Just wanted something abit different but nice to look at. Cause cloth is abit boring. I want reflection ect

But hmm ... nah I really dont want cloth, but maybe ill try it just for practise >_<. What do you all think would look better ?
