Hey guys! Somehow on CGtalk I ended up reading the Juice Box animation challenge thread from like two years ago, and I decided it was something I should try. I really haven't had much experience with animation so this was a very challenging exercise for me.
Here it is!

Edit: The goal of the exercise, by the way, was to animate a juice box reacting to something which causes a change in emotion.
I spent at least 10 hours on it, believe it or not, spread over a period of three days. I just kept scrapping what I had and starting over. At first I tried to lay it out pose - to - pose, but that didn't work out very well so I ended up going straight-ahead. This stuff is very frustrating for me. I must be approaching it wrong. I mean, Tyson entered an animation in the CGtalk thread (it's on his site), and it took him only two hours total. It took me longer than that just to render it out!
T, what's your process?! I mean, don't you make any mistakes?

And do you usually animate pose-to-pose or straight-ahead? Do you sketch out anything beforehand?
What about the rest of you? How do you approach an animation? How much planning do you do? Maybe I'm just slow with everything - hopefully I'll get faster as I get better.
In any case, I consider this finished but I'd really love to get some critiques so that I know what to improve on. Thanks a lot!
