adam_kehoe 30 posts15 Sep 2006hello everyone here is my other project im trying to get done for finals. I want to add some plaster chunks and dirt on the floor. I would love to get any feed back from any one because i also plan on putting this on my demo reel along with my creature head i need to go back in and add some changes to.

15 Sep 2006really nice, looks pretty real!
only one thing bothers me - the position of the second lightbulb way in the back. because the front one points left, and the back one is pushed way over to the left, it just feels odd, like all the lights want to go left. putting it on the right would make it look purposly staggered, though, so i have no solution.
some volumetric light from the doorway on the right would look cool, too. but its not neccessary.

15 Sep 2006your texture on the floor is too low rez, and the walls but the walls is not as obvious, would help the realism alote something you can try by default max put the blur of the texture at 1 lower it to .35

15 Sep 2006I agree that a bit of volumetric light would be a nice touch, especially if you broke it up quite a bit and made it more of a subtle effect with little bright specks of dust catching the light. My only suggestion to you otherwise at this point is to maybe sharpen up your textures a bit, maybe by changing how you filter them, looks like quadratic right now, try either no filtering or a mipmap, and perhaps some chunks of the wall on the left there were kind of scattered and stomped on the floor around that area. Looks really nice at this point, just keep pushing it man, almost there.

adam_kehoe 30 posts20 Sep 2006Hey everyone here is a little update i did. added some stuff on the floor and i put in a little dust in the air. Im not to sure about the dust in the air yet but i dont know maybe ill leave it depending on what all of you say about it.

my critiques now would be that the right side ground could use a teeny bit of debris, and the dust in the sunbeam looks like bad pixels or something. but the beams look nice! i'm just not digging the dust. but these are little things.
