This is a Ripper listening to music. Rippers are the mutant kangaroo people from the movie "Tank Girl". I originally drew this a few months ago, but recently decided to go ahead and recreate it in 3d. Here is the drawing:
This project took me 3 days and the mesh has 3200 faces and 6 textures; two of which are procedural (the teeth and gums). The textures used for the skin are 2048x2048 and they are color and bump maps.
I used Silo 2 for the modeling and uv unwrapping to test things out, but I decided not to use the displacement features for this project.
This is my second project since switching over to LW 9. The first one is still rendering...

wow man, that's great work so far. my only crit is more of an opinion, and that's that his eyes look like they're just a little too far apart, and that his jaw is just a tiny bit too sharp on the edges. But once again, that's just an opinion really. I like it though. are you finished on it or is it a work in progress still?
