30 Oct 2006Hi, i have to finish till 29. January a small 3d movie. I have decided for some futuristic racing stuff. I suppose it will be very much work... So far the first concept shots are found in the folders:

Yes there is a total storyboard, the trophyroom shot is simply shot showing that the racer doesnt care about his trophies. He lost his son and his driven by vengeance. Its really much work, so I hope to finish it in proper quality, dont expect to get something really good, because its something i am doing beside my work at holysoft.de I try to spend much time in it. But time is limited

12 Dec 2006Jupp, almost the next sequence is finsihed. Only some childimages on the wall, some better textures for the models, some more details
For people who are asking how this is connected to the SF Scene, the images are used for flashbacks in the past of the maincharacter. I have to finish two more Flashbacks, then I am going back to the SF Settings itself.

12 Dec 2006Hey mate its looking good, there are a few things off though imo.
The desk, chair, floor and all things related to it look fantastic, perfect... the door + bed however look mis-scaled, misshapen + toyish. Might just be an aussie thing but that door looks like it should be taller, a fair bit taller!, scale it agains the desk + bed, its double the height... which means, a room for midgets
the bed itself, is weirdly scaled, for a midget again, the ends are lacking in detail which make it look really toyish and the blanket as well lacks detailed wrinkling e.t.c... and usually pillows go above??? -
12 Dec 2006that is one heck of a shiny floor! maybe some scuff marks, at least near the chair.
oh, this reminds me, the trophy shot you posted early on, i meant to comment on that one! the fog along the floor had some issues, i thought.
you're really cranking away on this, great to see it progressing this fast!
is this a personal project, or for a client? -

14 Dec 2006Jupp, After I read your comments, Thank you Critics are most important. Please understand that this will be NOT realistic it will be a combination of comic and realism. I used mixed textures with a blend effect, so 50% are always some cellshading textures.
@ cameron: Improved the door, the bed will change also, but it shall have this toyish character and pillows are changed alreay (although not in the following render)
@ Hype: Yes a shiny floor, i am not sure if I make it dissapear, because you will see in the story the room isnt real, its holographie But I try to change it also
@ Ali: I keep it up but it costs so much time, and i am losing definetly some strength and nerves at the moment.

16 Dec 2006Ok i found a solution with the shinyness, the rendering part at the moment will simply be used in After Effects with the same cameramovement and a not so shiny surface
New Stuff ahead, but I have to warn you! I didnt tell anyone, how compelling, unbelievable my art in drawing is, so dont hesitate to look! Look in Awe, in admiration of this wonderful skills fiting to the child room

31 Jan 2007I like how you really stick to your ideas.thats not as comon as I would like to see today. Great work. a bit less shinny floor, the smoke effect has no defection from objects, and I would like to see a backup light in the trophy scene,,,,,,,,,,Thats me
