Simple Book Rendering for Animation

24 Jan 2007Hey Mates, I have to do some flashtrailers, so i decided to render a book for it. I know for myself that the gold is too perfect.
I used Vray, Vray Displacement.

Will J 215 posts27 Jan 2007Fantasic! I love the floorboards, totally real. All I would suggest is perhaps a dirtier texture on the brass, as the metal tends to get grottier over time. -
28 Jan 2007Thank your nice comments, the wood is simply displaced with vray displacement. Did I mention that Vray is the best renderer out in the universe? I love it.
The rendering process is done a long time. maybe i will work on this further as a private project.

28 Jan 2007Hi David, I think your first image looks great! The tabletop texture in the 2nd image looks low-rez, but you did a good job of hiding that in the first image with your depth of field
