Hey guys,
I've just finished some models for a short sci-fi movie being made by a film student. The two CG models (some are physical models, which I've also helped to build) are going to be animated and then composited in. I'm very proud of them, they've taken me some time as I don't have too much spare time on my hands for this sort of thing at the moment. The rocket one is called "Daedalus" and in the film it is a private space-flight manned by a billionaire who wants to be the first cilvilian to reach the moon (though not land on it.) The other ship is the space equivalent of coast-guard from a lunar colony (being made up of a society of people who are descended from a brake-away group of the "enlightenment" of the 19th century, who secretly began space travel far before anyone else.) Its a very interesting idea and I like the script, and it has been alot of fun filming the physical models on set. Maybe I'll be able to show you all the film if it ever gets finished! But here are some renders.
Oh, btw, the Daedalus is going to be used in a very distant shot and so is deliberately very low-res. The pilot in the guard ship will also be replaced with a better model when I have time.
