and she has really small breasts -

. The arms look too thick, maybe just scale them down a bit. THere looks like theres somewort of adam's apple or something, it just looks wrong but cannot tell because of the resolution.
The face needs some work, can we get a close up wire frame of that? Also a pretty big nice wire frame would be nice. Can you not just add a wire material to it because i can't really tell what it is like? thanks -

15 Nov 2005Hi there, great start, a couple of remarks doh :
- The general anatomy doesn't look right, especially legs and face part. I think you need to refine the legs more, make the knees more visible. Her face looks a bit too flat.
- For the hair, do it in several elements, it will look less blobby, maybe you can go for a more manga style if you know what I mean.
- The pants need thickness and the top of the backpart should be a bit more higher.
- The boobs are personal taste
but the could have a bit more volume and more pointed inwards the body

About the big debate over the breasts. - im keeping them the same... they are more realistic like this.
I fixed the feet a little, and did a few changes since the last update, I'll post a WIP pic soon with wireframe included. -

17 Nov 2005Global - I probably wont rig it so that the arm will go over where it is now, mostlikely the rig will just be the hand and the arm resting by the side.
Cameron - alright, ill try it out.
Todd - I'll test some different variables.

17 Nov 2005The topolgoy looks weird imo... Whats with all the tris in her pants? Did you murder a mesh to get her pants or or they modeled from scratch?

17 Nov 2005They have tris since it has a shell modifier on it, i modeled it by making a shape and then converting it to a poly and combining the two shapes front and back, the shell modifier makes everything into tris for some reason, but then after that I smooth it and it looks fine, so no worries. I know the topo is a little weird, but keep in mind that this is my second character and im not too great at modeling correct topology of where the muscles/bones should go etc. The good thing about my bad topology is that the whole thing wont be rigged that much, only the hands and the head... I need to figure out how to make the transition better from the highpoly head to the low poly neck/body. Since this girl will mostly have a big trenchcoat / ridinghood on, most of the body wont even show...

17 Nov 2005Yea...speaking of which...it looks like you have WAAAAAAAAAAY too many polys in his face/neck at the moment....you could probably have half as many and still maintain the same level of detail...

17 Nov 2005I created the wings by first making a feather shape, then using a tapered / bent cylnidar to use as a base for the feather's clone / array. After that I made 2 subsections of feathers by copying it and scaling it.
I'll fix the breasts & add more clothes soon. -
