I now about the blood (it's a composite map, where blood is in the second slot), and I was tryed to figure it out, but after couple hours I lost my patience.
Well... as I sad... it all started just like a test, and it came up with this.
I will try harder next time.

15 Jun 2007Awwweeesome! I was so not expecting that.
There are some points where the animation is very linear and could be broken up a bit more. What might normally be a barely noticeable linear motion is going to accentuated with the odd rig you've chosen, so you really need to break it up. For instance when SubZero pot is shooting the iceballs up to the ceiling, that would be a hundred times better with quicker shorter blasts, and offset the timing. So instead of say 1.....2.....3.....4, you could do 1...2..3.....4.
Another thing I noticed as far as the rendering, is that I didn't even notice the Shang Tsung pot until it jumped, it blended in too much with the chair. My eye was drawn to Goro, then suddenly I saw it jump and was like ahh nice.
But damn man overall that's a fun lookin' project. =)

I really liked the blood and ice effects
In my opinion, it could have used some more jumping/flipping/dodging....right now the teapots' moves are pretty calculated...but it was fun to watch!

Great idea about shooting non linear ice balls... I will keep that in mind for my future project.
As for the black teapot (shao kahn, not that silly wizard Shang Tsung ), you won't beleve it, but I actualy forgot to texture him, so he has the same material like his throne (probably that's why I didn't noticie him either )

Well... as for animation, being to linear... what to said... I will keep practise, and practise... this few days waching stuff from this forum and your portfolio was a great inspiration (and depresion at the same time).

05 Jul 2007I really liked it, like Tyson says, more action, and the camera movements were cool at first and I liked the Trannys, but cameras became too ... ... orbity, less focused like the game, which is what I think you were going for.
