At MAKE we did a few car spec adds recently. This one is for a BMW 6 or 7 series I don't remember which.
It was a really fun project to work on because we had just spent a few months off and on doing a 3D space movie (for like a stereo vision theater) but they were all 'scientific' and had technical requirements that sort of made them less rewarding. So now that the space bug was in our system I got to work on something that was just supposed to look cool, and I used a lot of the techniques developed in the previous project.
I worked on the environments and shading/rendering and animation, Babe Baker did an amazing job with the composite and some matte work, and we had help from Kevin Wisdom who also animated on this piece.

Man... I was checking out your oil advert over at cgtalk too.... MAKE really puts out nice work!
