Here's a recent scene that I recently did with mental ray and Maya - some post-production work was done in combustion, so I could render out a video of the camera walking around (although only I've modelled half the room).

Anyway, it took about a day to model, texture and render so it's a simple scene.

That's a lovely material on the bed, I can almost feel it

One small crit from me is that the DoF is a little out. The nearest corner of the bed in nice and sharp, but the pillows and far wall are too blurred, so the focus of the image is in the wrong place IMO.

kinda feels like the DOF shouldnt be there at all. and the image in the window doesn't match the perspective or the volume of light being emitted. great job on everything else though, love the bed material and the shoes.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't think that the DOF was too noticeable but I'll try placing it better and adjusting it a bit more. I originally put it there to try and "uneven" the whole picture a bit because a lot of interior renders that people do are very sharp and clean.
