I did think that the weaves were probably procedural displacement maps rather than geometry but there are gaps so it may very well be modeled. -

ptaverner 379 posts01 Sep 2007It looks good. One thing I'd suggest is to add something in th pots to support the flowers. You know that green foam stuff they put in there. I think that'll really help.

The weaving is modelled manually. No displacement in lightwave that's as good as others yet. APS displacement in lightwave is too heavy in rendering at the moment.
Yeah I was wondering what they used besides the clay pot inside to prevent the basket from twisting. I knew it was foam or something.
