The next animation I'm making for the reel is a throwback to old 1950's TV commercials.
The character is based on the designs I found of some vintage product spots and some of the work of Chris Harding.
Animation should be up in a few days

These guys look so fun! And yes.. saggy boobs make for fun secondy action -
01 Dec 2005I don't think they'd have allowed saggy boobs with secondary motion in the 50's
Tyson - are you just using flat cutouts here? If so how did you go about lighting? Self illumination? is it all cel shading? Tell us more bud

01 Dec 2005Although Hammy was about 60% rotatable and 3d ....these guys are completely 2d.
Lines are splines and the rest are extruded shape objects -

03 Dec 2005It's about 40% done at this point (in total the animation is 15 seconds in length)....so hopefully I'll have the full thing to post by Sunday night.
So far I think it looks pretty good!

05 Dec 2005HA HA HA HA!!! That's brillaint Tyson!!! Great stuff!! I really enjoyed watching that - it definatly had the 50's vibe! I loved the old film grain you had over it too, and an amazing 50's type soundtrack! All in all - excellent stuff.
Really good ending too. No crit what so ever.
