05 Dec 2005These are some fast renders and models i kicked out for my design for my Pressure washer storage system.
Modeling took about 20 mins (jus boxes and cylinders)
Rendering took 30 mins (to setup in Mental Ray and 1 min on render)
Image 1 consists of the design (the box in the center is the pressure washer) And a top and left view.
Image 2 consists of an exploded view and a closeup of the Male and female hozelock features that im including.
I didnt texture the wheels, or even bother with texturing at all, all it was for was to give me a better visualization of the final thing, i wasnt aiming for anything pretty
. Just thought id post this to show you guys i still do 3d lol -

even for a quick model + render this looks good -

05 Dec 2005I dont like the textures, i might go back and actually add the little things like add tread on the type and make the textures more correct in placement. Ill post my scetches soon and you can see other areas

08 Dec 2005Well heres my development scetches (not complete) this is how far i have got so far in designing. I have produced a few models out of card for testing puposes but there being held with my tutor at the moment.
Please note i dont have an A3 scanner, or access to one atm (stupid IT techs) so i had to use the shitass design cam because i didnt have mine with me.
1st page looking at possible storage ideas
2nd page ,Development on the storage compartment, and looking into possible extra ideas.
3rd page, Development on the storage of the pressure washer, high lighting problems and looking into possible idea of a drainage tray for leakages.
4th page , Development on the tray idea, and also looking into the possibility of holding the pressure washer in place with a lugage strap idea.
5th page, Final idea development, work in process this page isnt complete it may have more scetches on yet, and also needs annotating.
Thats all my design stuff so far, i have a few more but they are litterally shit because they was brainstorm scetches i did with my tutor (most were binned).
Sorry if you cant read the writing, designs shitass camera sucks lol.

09 Dec 2005Its a storage system for a pressure washer.
A main problem with pressure washers is all the parts and the time taken to set up, my design makes setting it up easier and provides storage for all the parts. Ontop of all this it also provides transport and stops leakages that are encounted when using a pressure washer.
It fits over 20 different commercial pressure washer sizes ( reasearch ) so hopefully it should fit most designs. Also the model is a 1 : 10 scale of the final thing. -
