08 Apr 2008i think i would've shown a few wireframes and some closeups of the details you made, you never really see any of the detailwork in the shots you laid out. also, i'd probably cut the faraway shots, depending on what position youre applying for.

11 Apr 2008sweet dude, yeah lightenup the hange,r want see this great model . I agree with putting in some closeup shots with mabe the lettering on the side, that way people can see all of your work in the model.

17 Apr 2008hey, nice work! The stuff with the helicopter looked great, especially that handheld shot!
however, those little tanks or whatever they are on the ground that it shoots at - those need some comp love!
they were too black for being at that distance, and too sharp.
but the helicopter looked great! -
Will J 215 posts18 Apr 2008Yeah the tanks were a bit rushed I'm afraid, only had time to software render them before my deadline. However the finished reel has gone down a treat with my course tutors, they want to plaster images of it all over our computer suite haha! Me = chuffed.

19 Apr 2008Wow... I've been away from home for too long... it's great to hear some good old Englishisms. Clay, it's your duty to spread this wonderful word across the atlantic! Whenever you react to something good, and feel completely satisfied, content and happy... you can say you are chuffed... or if you are really very happy you could emphasise it by saying you are 'dead chuffed'

Will J 215 posts20 Apr 2008And if you want to spread the even more comical Welshisms, say that when you like something or it is of a high standard it is "tidy, like" and liberally say "mun" instead of "man" when addressing people, or if you feel like it. Also instead of saying "you" say "''ew." We don't descened to using Y in Wales.
Example:
"Maya is tidy, like, mun, innit? If 'ew dun like it I will slam 'ew."

28 Apr 2008My favourite Welsh-ism (I went to Cardiff Uni) was Hangin'
As in:
"That bird is well hangin'!"
Unfortunately it was usually the girls telling me I was hangin'. Sob... Us Computer Science geeks never got any decent action!
