This is more or less my first full 3d animation I did for my school physics contest on potential energy. It got first out of 8 or so.
All feedback is welcome

28 Jun 2008nice work, congrats on the 1st place! one thing that caught my eye was how the screw driver came in and out of him when he'd stop and move. doesnt really make much sense, why wouldnt it just stay out the whole time? also, the whole thing felt kinda slow but the physics you demonstrated seems spot-on. was it all hand-animated?

I really enjoyed that...I thought the animation was great (although slightly boring as bcolbourn said). The only improvement I'd suggest (besides maybe speeding up the pace of the whole thing) is maybe improving the lighting....adding a little more ambience, etc. -

BColbourn: Yes it was all hand animated.
ivanisavich: I would of liked more ambient light. I used a buddies computer to render it because I am still very new to compositing, so i was unable to do more test of the lighting.
I agree that the timing is off now that I've re watched it. I was probably just pumped to get it done.
Although timing is something that I struggle with. It seems either too fast or too slow.
I really appreciate the critiques.
