Hey everyone!
Check out this quick shot I put together! It was a lot of fun. I shot the video footage down at the Mississippi river a few weeks ago. It was made mostly in Maya. Let me know what you think! Thanks.

Hey Nate, I like it! It blends in great with the background footage, don't really have much to crit. Good job!
And tell Brad I said Hey. That guy rocks my pants.

That's pretty cool - nice idea.
There was something very natural about the first couple of hops in to shot - not sure about the dive for cover though (where it looks like it tries to conceal itself behind the log... seems a little cat like in behavior) The tongue was great!

Thanks! It was a girl. Tell brad to get his butt on this site, and read for all the juicy details.

It's freakin' cool man, very nice work! If I had to nitpick I'd say the water in the background moves quite a bit more than a pond would, unless it were a windy day in which case the trees would be moving a lot too, or at the very least the bugs wouldn't be able to fly around so casually. Bugs tend to not come out much when it's windy, which is why a day with a slight breeze was always the best day to hit the pond because there wouldn't be many mosquitoes out. The frog itself is pretty rad, though I must admit I didn't notice he was a robot until I saw his tongue. (I didn't read the title...go me.) Other than that I think it's great dude. The bug on the left that doesn't get eaten is a little to casual while his buddy there get's swallowed. I feel like he'd fly away much quicker when the frog first jumps in. Who knows though, I am unfortunately not a firefly so I can't speak for their behavior patterns. =)
Edit: I guess the trees do move quite a bit, so maybe it was just the bugs buggin' me. (Get it? hahah...)
