Hey everyone, its been a while...but here's one of the latest projects I've worked on!
This project was a collaboration at Pixel Farm between me and Eric Schulist. The goal was to demonstrate visual effects integration into a live action plate rather than an in-depth story. I was responsible for the modeling, animation, some simulation, and dust/plasma particle effects. We kept it to a simple shot, mostly for us to learn more once we have to tackle bigger projects down the road. It was entered and shown at Minnesota's Electronic Theater 2008. The main programs used were Maya, Realflow, and Shake.
We worked on it off and on since January whenever we had free time. If I were to make a guess about total work hours, I'd say close to 3 months worth...maybe..
Here's a screengrab, along with the movie, and a making of.

I hope you enjoy!
