.
modelled in 3dsmax 8, took me about 2 weeks, on and off,
render using Vray, and background sky using Dreamscape 2,
texture and post work in photoshop,

I'd say that the front needs a little more work, just as the cockpit attaches to the fueselage it looks a little lumpy. Also the seams on the cockpit window look too big (actually looking again I wonder if the windows themselves are a little over large?) -

02 Feb 2006Ive noticed something about your work..your polygon count is WAY TOO HIGH! you really should plan ahead when modeling, otherwise you'll face trouble when your scenes become more and more populated.
other than that, looks good.=, but lacks all the small details that bring it to life...signal light, junction joints, radio and radar antennas, etc... -
02 Feb 2006Agree with Amer, Way too high poly for the detail thats there. You can see the kind of effect this can have where the cockpit meets the rest of the plane, it contributes to the bumpiness that G mentioned.
I don't know if you're going for accuracy but this plane would not be able to fly. The wings need a certain profile to control airflow. At the moment it would crash and kill many many people. -

i'll try and fix the cockpet area and the front windows,
and you're right about the details Amer, i'll try and add some of those,
about the poly count, this is actually the smoothed version,
i collapsed it by mistake at one point and had to continue working on it
. -

it has some problems around the windows and the tale, that i fixed in the final one,

02 Feb 2006There was no need to meshsmooth it...it already was smooth! Even before meshsmoothing you had a rather exceesive poly count. The wings and fin are ok, but the top of the fuselage has an excessively extra amount of polys!
