I'm working on some audio visualisation shots. This is what I have at the moment:

So far I've been experimenting with fumefx, realflow, krakatoa and particle flow. I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me some advice in terms of creating other types of setups that would look cool
I'm sure some of you have done this type of thing before and if so it would be great if you could show it here as a reference.

06 Jul 2010No hand keys. I have a high poly plane with soft selection (one vertex in the middle selected) and then on top of that a push modifier which has an audio controler.

11 Jul 2010Look cool... reminds me of non-Newtonian liquids
Seems like its reacting to one particular frequency at the moment. I've not played around with the audio controller, but it'd be fun to have a few controllers there all reacting to a different frequency - would be one awesome graphic equalizer! -
11 Jul 2010maybe if you cut it up in another program, separating the tones that way and then exporting each one would be a work-around if the internal audio controller isn't capable.
that non-newtonian video is crazy, does not look real -
12 Jul 2010Hehe that video looks alien-ish I've definitely considered splitting the audio track to different pieces, at least one for treble and one for bass. I'm going on a little vacation, hopefully i come back with a couple of new ideas for this

16 Jul 2010enjoy the vacation mate.........yeah this is some sweet stuff . I have always wanted to do this also............I think maybe I have to now. Lets see what ya got on this one man. Great work man.
Would be cool to see the realflow mixed with fume, like burning water thingie....... -
