those lights and colors were mesmerizing. the animation coulda had a bit more thought into it but the movement of the particles and everything was great.

Wow man, they are some of the best particles i've ever seen, you must have a hardcore system to be able to manage them all.
I've found in the past, at least with my setup that i'm more limited by hardware than creative thinking, and to me it seems that vid just steps over the hardware issue and says screw you outdated pc, it's my time to shine!
I'm jealous.

thank you, i do have a 1 year old quad core thats all, there is a particle render for 3ds max called Krakatoa which can handle extermly large amounts of particles, render times are fairly low too, about 10 sec per frame most of the time.

I've been out of the loop way too long, last I heard krakatoa was an in-house system for some company, and wasn't available for the public.
