long time no see...
wanted to show you my final version of this scene...some of you may remember...
could have changed things forever but had to finish due to deadline of a german contest i sent it in...
thanks for your feedback for the first version i posted here, helped me a lot...

10 Apr 2006Hey man - this is awsome, could you post some wires? The bag at the end of the pushchair is simply awsome! Great modeling work there - the textures and the lighting is spot on. What software/render did you use man?

the renderer is vray, all modelling inside max with ps for textures and postpro...
i'll post some wires when i'm @ home...

i noticed the subsurface scattering on the hood thingy over the stroller. is it SSS, or is it a transparent material, or is it cheated somehow?
looks absolutely amazing. this is my favorite kind of stuff, super realistic. -

@peter: thanks man...i was thinking same as you about the bent wheel and the corner but was badly hitting the deadline...and then i rememberred the pram of my little sister and i always did say lightheaded things with her in her pram when taking a walk and often lost a wheel...but nothing happend...it never get destabalized...
so i left this one on the list of things to do
@david:thanks too, there's not much of a secret about the lighting, just three vray-lights, one for the window, two outside the door with slightly different colors, and one directlight with area-shadows ticked...
never got an email, sorry, maybe it went to my spamfolder, which i should check more carefully in future...
please try again, if you don't mind...

Yes, you're right, the pram would be stable on only 3 wheels. My thought was that not just the wheel was dammaged, but that the pram had taken some sort of hit. ( ie: maybe the pram was left behind because it was no longer needed after the death of the child ) A little morbid I know, but adds to the story behind the visual.
