21 Jul 2005hi, yes it's true! I did something other than 3D buildings
I created this cloudcar and magnetic tramway for a upcoming project I want to do soon, something as big as my castle, and probably bigger as O want to big a new computer
I made them really fast, 2h30 by models (as it was hot in my apartment, I tried to model them as fast as possible). I'll make a new section in my website (well I'll remove autocad section and make a "concept" section, an will add projects like this in it)
Nothing is perfect, I think they'll be in the background of my new scene, so I don't need them in big hi-res.
Anyway, it was a good exercises as I didn't model a lot complex box modeling in my life. I could post 3-4 images of "making of" of the cloudcar, but not sure if you really need it as you're pro in box modeling!

Great to see you post something!
I like the sleek design of this thing....although it's a bit "impractical", as it doesn't seem to have very many (if any) moving parts. Would be hard to fix one of them too...since it doesn't seem to have any accessable panels which would give you access to the engine etc
Nice and smooth though
...a good box modelling excercize for you for sure

21 Jul 2005yes I realized that too when I saw some reference pic of tramways and TGV. I think if I only add one line in the front, I could make at the same time to big pannels (the white part) than could be open. will be really simple to make.

I really really like the design and flow of the tram, but am not too fussed on the car. Those tentacles things really do not do it justice IMO.
I love the materials and reflections you are getting with these, and am looking forward to seeing you progress through and get this project finished. -
