Lip Sync Test

06 Jun 2006For fun at work here I've been creating a group of silly-looking characters lately, and today I threw together an animation test with 2 of them.
The characters were modelled and rigged earlier this week, but the animation you see here was done this evening in approximately 3 hours.
Some of the poses can be pushed much further, I realize...but I think this still serves its purpose as a nice test using these 2 characters (and it's the first real animation test pertaining to this project that I've done so far). The sound clip is from the movie "Amadeus"

06 Jun 2006Hey Tyson. Yeah you managed to get the expressions down nicely even though he has small arms and stuff. I agree that you could take the poses a bit further, and maybe touch up a bit on the lyp synch - feel the words.
Cool characters though dude! I love his glasses.

As you say, you could have taken the poses a bit further. Body wise, that's may not be easy, though some slight stretchyness on the joints would work a treat (is it your own rig or biped?)
Some of the phenomes could be a little more pronounced, and some of the transitions could be a little more snappy (his mouth seems to 'float' a little after ''Mozart'') I think Iest has it when he said 'feel the words' hehe
Anyhoo as a quick test it's cool man! Funny that we both did lip sync tests in the same week. -
