27 Dec 2006Ha ha! Nice touch man! I didn't notice it either, he blends in very well. Did you manage to make the reflections on the poster within AE as well?

28 Dec 2006iest - yep, reflections are in AE as well. rendered a frame where the reflections were clear, brought it back in, de-saturated it 100% so its black & white, put it in Screen blending mode, and adjusted Levels on it until it looked just right.

28 Dec 2006nice one hype. i actually entered this one myself i got them all in but i couldnt finish it in time for the deadline i'll post up a wip if anyone is interested. i dont see any problems with your entry other than some small green fringes (maybe its just my eyes
) . you should do a lil cc just to be safe. btw how did you key out the screens ? i found it really hard to key them out using the standard keyers i had to use keylight. -

i used keylight. it's the only keyer i ever use at home. at work i'm forced to use primatte and other things, but wish i had keylight.
i didn't notice any green fringe. where do you see some? -

I'm losing so far, but i don't mind, it was fun, and the guys that are winning roto'd the crap outta their footage. I can't bring myself to roto like that unless i'm getting paid. you call it lazy, i call it Rotophobia.

the two guys that won definitely deserved it! the guy named Dreamie went nuts on rotoing and just jamming in as much as possible, and the other person, Guilllt, did some really creative pre-comp/transitional work.
i won a year's subscription to Cinefex. cool! -
