yeah its from ae and i put a optics couprensations something like that (effects>distrod>optics) to give it a lens feel but i should make it in 3ds to give the rocks depth as well
all are in layers and i put them all in 3d in AE, then make apply a camera then go to top view make the layers to have the proper distance, then i go into camera view and scale them till they fit the original size, then you make animation with the camera that the part where you need to be smart, you have to think from before the camera animation so you know what to paint otherwise you will get unpainted parts
so once you have all in layers is good especially for ae its easy to read the photoshop work, so after that i added some flicker effect to some lights its hard to see the fog has just a fractal noise on it on multiply settings on 20 like opacity and it animates, btw you can do great matte paintings with Forge freeform(plugin) you can make a layer with depth

the trick for a good shot, is to create it at double size of 2k film resolution
and then you have freedom to zoom in zoom out etc, i ve learned that from
